Marble Fish

Fish in Alabama Marble. This project is a companion to Fish in Soapstone. When I started working with soapstone from the Alberene soapstone quarry in Schuyler, VA, I made a fish out of a sample block of soapstone. Last year, I picked up some marble from AM3 Stone in Sylacauga, AL, and this is my test project of their marble. I look forward to offering Alabama marble as an option for commissions!

This fish will be a stylized design with gothic relief carving of foliage in place of scales.
