Swan Bucket

I wanted all of my sculptures for this show to have decorative elements but also to have a personal kind of presence. This one is a crowd! It is called Swan “Bucket” because I made it using the outside of a 5-gallon bucket. The swans are inspired in part by the fact that my first real experience of a big city was when I was 12 years old and got to live in Paris, France for 6 months. There were a lot of swans in the parts and they seemed to embody spirit and feel of a Parisian urban garden.
